MANAGEMENT/POSSESSION LICENCES

A management licence authorises a legal entity or an individual to conduct a radiation practice.
Our radiation safety specialists can assist with obtaining or making changes to your radiation management licence as well as review your management to ensure that your licence is accurate and suggest areas where there can be a cost saving. We can also provide a full service option to manage the management/possession licence for you.

USER LICENCES

A radiation use licence authorises the holder to use specified types of radiation sources for a specified purpose, such as ionising radiation apparatus, radioactive material or sealed source. Our radiation safety specialists can assist individuals to obtain radiation use licences. We can also assist institutions in reviewing the staff radiation use licences to ensure all practices are within the licence conditions. We can also provide a fully managed services to notify you and your staff when their licence is due to expire. This ensures that there is never a lapse in a licence.

RADIATION SAFETY AND MANAGEMENT PLANS

A radiation management plan provides an institution with requirements and best practice advice to ensure all staff and visitors are safe around the use of radiation. Our radiation safety specialists can review your radiation management plan and provide advice and recommendations for improvement and implementation. Or, we can work with you to develop a radiation management plan from scratch to suit your workplace.

RADIATION SAFETY ADVICE

PERSONAL RADIATION MONITORING

Do you or your staff have concerns with your personal radiation monitoring? Our radiation safety specialists can review your staff radiation dose history and investigate any abnormal exposures. We can also advise on who should be allocated a personal radiation monitor and who does not need one with the reasons why.

RADIATION SAFETY EDUCATION

Our radiation safety specialists can provide a tailor-made radiation safety education for a range of professions. We provide radiation safety education for nurses, doctors, cleaners, admin staff, allied health and any other health professional.

REGULATORY REPORTING

Regulatory reporting is required in a number of instances. From imaging the wrong patient or pregnant patients to abnormal personal radiation monitoring results, we can assist in completing dosimetry and investigation into the event to improve your radiation practice.

PPE ADVICE

PREGNANT PATIENTS OR STAFF

Do you have a pregnant patient or staff member? We can provide radiation dose estimates and risks for any pregnant patient that has undergone an ionising radiation exam. We can also provide advice to pregnant staff working with and around radiation.
